Mixed Container of Donations for Dominican Republic Project

This project focuses on the collection, sorting, packaging, labelling, and shipping of: clothing, furniture, hand sanitizer and sterilization items, school supplies, dishes, cookware, dental equipment, bicycles, sporting goods and games, gardening tools and equipment, general construction tools, building supplies, dried food stuffs, and Spanish language tracts for shipment in a 40 container to the Dominican Republic in March 2022. These items are for distribution by an association of churches in Dominican Republic, who will also share some of the contents of the container with associated churches in Haiti, the Caribbean, and Colombia.

There is systemic poverty in Dominican Republic and neighbouring countries, and this container is a follow-up to a container which was sent approximately 10 months ago to the Dominican Republic. These items will provide both immediate and long-term benefits to the recipients. The distribution of these items will be in partnership with local churches with the involvement of Canadian youth from three churches in the greater Toronto area.

You are encouraged to contribute either physical items or funding to offset the transportation and distribution costs of bringing these much needed items to areas with significant physical, emotional, spiritual needs. Contact: info@lamcanada.ca if you require any additional information.
